The safety surface is made from recycled lorry tyres, ground into small granules and consists of 2 layers: firstly a base layer of larger black granules, and then secondly, a top layer of much finer granules which come in a variety of colours, allowing surfaces to be designed into many different shapes and patterns. The surface has no seams or joins, unlike tiles or rubber mats, so is much more presentable and easier to maintain.
This extremely durable and porous surface can survive years of punishment from children and adults alike. Because this surface is simple and easy to apply it means that a wide variety of colours and designs can be chosen by the client.

We produce an environmentally friendly porous paving solution for footpaths, rubber driveways and car parks for both the residential and commercial markets. Fully SUDS compliant,we use a combination of resins to bond rubber to create a sub base.
The voids in the sub base retain water until it can drain naturally back into the water table, preventing flash flooding. We then use an aggregate in a colour of your choice mixed with resin and bond it on to the rubber sub base to prevent cracking and movement.The finished result is a stunning, virtually maintenance free, hard wearing finish.
The UK discards over 48 million tyres each year. These tyres are no longer allowed into landfill sites and present a major environmental problem. Sudscape helps address this problem by using at least 3 crumbed tyres per square meter in the sub base of our porous paving.
Because it is totally porous, unlike other resin finished paving, it allows rain water to be held within the voids in the rubber base, slowing down water until it can be absorbed back into the water table.
On surfaces like tarmac and concrete, pollutants like brake dust are washed straight in to drains and in turn into our water courses causing harm to wildlife. Sudscape prevents this from happening as the rubber helps filter out pollutants.
American research has shown that when water flows through the rubber sub base and hard standing, there is a reduction of 25% nitrates and a further 30% reduction in phosphates.
It is virtually maintenance free needing only the occasional power wash or brushing with stiff broom to maintain a pristine finish.
Bounce Bound safety surfacing is a continuous, in situ impact absorbing surfacing primarily designed for children’s play areas. It is Strong, durable and low maintenance, Compliant Wet Pour can be laid onto any size or shaped area, including around existing play equipment.
The standard system consists of a variable depth bulk layer of black reclaimed SBR rubber topped with a 15mm nominal thickness of bound EPDM rubber crumb. There are a wide variety of eye-catching colours and inlaid designs to choose from. For most new developments, the surface is laid onto a recessed stone base as illustrated. For best value, this base preparation can be carried out by the client. Bounce Bound safety surfacing can also be laid onto existing hard surfaces.
